ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2017: Playoffs Begin

Tuesday, coverage begins for the final stage of Turner and IMG’s ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2017, a million dollar tournament that began with four weeks of group action, and will end with a single elimination bracket.

Tuesday’s first Quarterfinals match features North American fan favorites Cloud9 against European giants G2 Esports.  The French side are on a hot streak, winning three of their last four tournaments. C9 looked comfortable as they won Group C two weeks ago, and will look to build on that momentum with their new lineup featuring former OpTic Gaming players Will “RUSH” Wierzba and Tarik “Tarik” Celik.

In a video released today, Tarik and Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip speak very candidly to ELEAGUE about their old teams and teammates.  Stewie in particular expresses some frustration after benching Jordan “n0thing” Gilbert and Michael “shroud” Grzesiek and dealing with the backlash from the CS:GO community:

Tuesday’s second match features 2017 ELEAGUE Major champions Astralis against perennial CS:GO favorites FNATIC.  ELEAGUE produced a video featuring FNATIC’s in game leader, Maikil “Golden” Selim:

Live coverage of the playoffs begins October 10th at 2pm EST across Twitch, YouTube and ELEAGUE.com.
