Voting Open for BAFTA Esports Award

What do Moonlight, La La Land, and Clash Royale have in common?  They were all nominated for awards by the British Academy for Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).

2016 was the first year Esports titles were considered in the Games category, and the audience voting system was introduced for that particular award.  Hi-Rez Studios’ SMITE came out on top in 2016, beating Dota2, League of Legends, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Hearthstone, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for the honors.

This year the same format is in place, and fans can vote for one of six titles to take home the AMD Esports Audience Award at the British Academy Games Awards on April 6th.

Nominees:

  • Clash Royale
  • Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
  • Dota 2
  • League of Legends
  • Overwatch
  • Street Fighter V

Fans can vote here.

The award ceremony will be broadcast live on Twitch.
