FaZe Clan faced Astralis in the final of the ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2017 and took home a 2-0 win and $500,000 USD. FaZe edged out the opposition 16-14 on Cache and then rolled on to a confident 16-7 win on Overpass.
It was a familiar finish for Finn “Karrigan” Andersen, who was playing against his former teammates in the final. After the match he explained how his familiarity with the opposition helped him recover after a slow start:
“We knew we could come back [after being down during the first map]. I have played on Astralis, so I know how they handle certain situations.”

So what’s next for FaZe? The team will be traveling to St. Petersburg, Russia to play in the wildcard qualifier for Epicenter 2017, a $500,000 tournament. The team will have to get through Liquid, Tyloo, and Vega Squadron to make it, but Håvard “rain” Nygaard says they’re ready:
“We will keep playing at this level, and most importantly, we will keep playing as a team. Our success is all about our collective effort.”
The next CS:GO event for ELEAGUE will be the ELEAGUE Major : Boston, the first CS:GO major tournament of 2018.
